Liliana Solomon
Liliana Solomon is the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Romania since November, 2005, when Vodafone Groups Plc. acquired the local mobile communications company Mobifon S.A..
Ms. Solomon is an executive with 15 years of international experience in the telecom industry. She used to hold executive positions such as Chief FiInancial Officer of T-Mobile, UK, Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Cable&Wireless, UK, and Vice President Controlling and Finance, Deutsche Telekom.
Over the last 4 years, under Ms. Solomon's CEO mandate, Vodafone Romania doubled its turnover and increased the customer base by 50% while reaching margins of over 45%.
Liliana is also the President of the Vodafone Romania Foundation Board, an NGO funded by the company that has been supporting Romanian children, women, elders and people in need through various social programs.
Liliana Solomon has a PhD in Physics and is an MBA graduate from INSEAD, France. Liliana is fluent in 5 languages and her greatest hobby is playing tennis.
Vodafone Romania, a subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc., is a top player on the local market with more than 9.5 million customers and Euros 1,17 billion total revenues, as of March 31, 2009.
